Influenster TLC VOX BOX 2014

I was crazy happy when I found out that I was going to be joining in on the TLC Vox Box from Influenster. I got to join in on last years TLC Vox Box so I knew this one was going to be amazing! Alot of people got thiers before I did so I did cheat a little and watched videos on what other had recieved. Needless to say I was on pins and needles til my box arrived. So I wont keep you any longer. Here is my TLC VOX BOX!

Let me break down all this goodness. 

Let''s start with the Shell Rewards Card. 

This card is pretty neat. It is a Gas rewards card. You can earn rewards to lower your gas cost. Not by much but a little is better than none. My first time use included $.25/gallon. Which was nice. Then after I used that it dropped back down to $.03/gallon. Like I said not a lot but better than none. You can earn from pumping gas, buying specially marked items in select Shell stations (which I have yet to find anything specially marked) Dining out at select restaurants and shopping online at select stores. So while talking about the shopping and dining. They do not tell you until you sign up that you will have to put credit/debit card(s) on the website to get rewards that way. What it does is, you dine out/shop online at these stores, you have to use the credit/debit cards you put online. So other than that, I think this card will come in handy sometimes. 

Next up is the Puffs Lotion soft packs. Not much more to say about these except they are awesome and completely handy when needed. 

Next they sent me a free coupon for Breyers Gelato. I have not bought this yet but I plan on it soon. I've had gelato before when I lived in Florida and it was amazing! 

This would be Neosporin Neo to Go! This thing is neat! Its perfect for my everyday life. Seems like myself or one of my family members are always nicking ourselves on something and I can never find the little tube of neosporin. This I can keep on my keychain! 

This is a simple bar of Ivory soap! So many things I can do with this! I think I am going to make some body wash. I love the smell of Ivory! 

This last item is from AVON it is the Anew Reversalist Complete Renewal Express. It's for minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. I personally at this moment do not have wrinkles! but I have a prospect in mind on who I can test this on to get true results.

Influenster #JollyVoxBox Review

I was so excited when I received the email that I was going to be getting the #JollyVoxBox from Influenster! I love this program and I look forward to reviewing more products. If you haven't heard about Influenster before it is a company/website that sends out themed boxes full of products for people to review. When you sign up there are so many things for you to do, surveys, reviews, ask.answer questions. All of those things can up your score. This score and your profile help them determine what boxes would suit you. Like they arent going to send a college themed box to someone who isnt in college, or a dog themed box to someone who doesn't have dogs. Get my drift? Once you do qualify for a box, they will send you an email for you yo verify that you want the box then they will send you a tracking number once the box ships. When you get your box (this is the fun part) you unbox it (it is a great idea to just go ahead and film it right away, youll see why in a second) Then you go back to the Influenster site and check in that you received it and see all the tasks you need to complete, for instance share on instagram, unbox video on youtube, review a product on a certain website. You do not HAVE to do them but it helps your score. Here is the website if you want to check it out. So here we go. Here is what I received in my #JollyVoxBox

How awesome is all that??? I will break down each item and talk about it a little bit. I will say the vox boxes differ in size. My very first one was a very large box. My second one was a small box, it fit in my mailbox, and this one was small too. It all depends on what is in it. I definitely recommend trying out the website. It is really fun. 

First up is this package of  Puffs Plus lotion tissues. I am always in need of tissues it seems this time of the year I always have a cold. This little package fit perfect in my purse and my pocket. There are 10 tissues in each pack and normally you can buy a 4 pack of these at one time. They are soft and was very gentle on my nose. Visit the Puffs Website for more information on what is in the tissues and more products they offer. Also look for Puffs on your favorite social media outlet! 

 Ok so....I messed up. I do not have a pic of this product alone by itself in the original packaging. But I do have this pic. It is of a Ducklings tape roll from Duck Brand. Its a mini roll of the Blue Leopard Duct tape. The size is .75 x 180 inches. It works the same as the normal size tape rolls. It's perfect for small craft projects like the one below, My daughter, who is 4, used it to cover the back of her cell phone...(before I get hate for that, it only works with wifi she only uses it to watch crafting videos on youtube) Check out the Duck Brand Website for more products and project ideas. The next item was a eyeshadow trip palette from NYC. NYC stands for New York Color. I LOVE this brand. I own several pieces. This color is Long Beach Sands there are three different shades for three different parts of your eyes. BUT you can use them anyway you want to create different looks.
The top color is a white. It is written to be a highlighter for under your brow or in the inner corner of your eyes. The middle color is a darker brown shade. It is written to be an all over lid color. The bottom is a tan shade. It is written to be the crease color, meaning the crease on your eyelid. Any of these colors can be used any way you want to. I will say they are not very pigmented. Atleast on my skin I had to really dig into the package to get the dark coloring shown in the swatch below. Then tan barely shows at all. This is on their own, out of packaging put on a bare eyelid. I then put an eyelid primer on my lids to see if that would help. It did a little. It was still too light for my tastes. Ya'll I have light skin. Anything should be dark on me. So for one final try I used cream eyeshadows in the same shade as the shades below. It worked but I feel like its mostly the color of the cream shadow and not the NYC colors. Sooo I am not knocking the NYC brand, just this palette did not work for me. The next product is from Rimmel. It is their Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial. Ya'll I'm serious when I say this product is amazing and they sent me the perfect shade! This product is not a lipstick and it is not a gloss. It goes on so creamy and stays on all day. It has the basic lip gloss applicator to apply the product. Like I said I have light skin, I normally do not go for bright lip colors to wear out in public but this color is the perfect color to break me into wearing a nice pinky mauve color. Check out the Rimmel Website for more products and more colors. I would definitely recommend this product.

The last think I list hear was actually the first thing I took out of the box. It is the Skinny Cow brand of peanut butter filled chocolate candies. Now ya'll I love my chocolate but these things are very very sweet. The peanut butter is very creamy and rich. So you definitely would not be missing the sweet factor if you ate these. This box came with 6 pouches, each pouch has 3 pieces in it. Way too much for me in one sitting. I do recommend this to others. I recommend the brand totally. I love their products. I know I've been saying I would catch up on blog posts...Well that is one of my resolutions is to get more organized in life and that includes my blog. To those who might be coming back to read this, I will be posting more. I am, at this moment, editing the current pictures I have and separating them into folders for easy blogging. So I do realize this is a very short post BUT I need to get back to what I was doing.

Walgreens Mini Haul

     Hi all. I'm going to post this one first before some of my past hauls. There has been lots of talk about some new Profusion products at Walgreens. I definitely had to go check that out. I walked in and there were so many Christmas themed products everywhere! Makeup! Bath and Body! Nail Polish! Toys!! After perusing the shelves for like an hour I settled on a few items. Check them out below:

My eyes zoned in on these Profusion Marbled Baked Eyeshadows. I love the marbled eyeshadows. If you do them just right they look awesome. They are pretty pigmented and they are baked so you can use them wet or dry. Wet of course will give you darker color. Here they are dry on top of foundation. These were the only two they had so I grabbed them. They were $5 a piece.

Look at that blue on the bottom row!! oh my! It has a bronze brown color marbled in it. Very pretty! All of the colors have shimmer there were no mattes in here that I could tell. Alot of the colors are very pigmented. The brown shades weren't as bright on my skin as some of the other colors. That yellow is amazing too. 

Look at these colors!!!! Look at that pinky purple! I love bright colors.  These colors were a little brighter. To me they all have shimmer in them. This is my favorite pallete out of the two. 

These were right next to the profusion palettes. These were $3 a piece. The brand is BellaTrix. The reason I got both is....I loved the green polish and the silver lipgloss. I hate when that happens. But that blue polish is amazing too. The polish is really good. One coat did it for my nails. Didn't last 36 hours BUT I did not have a top coat on. So I bet with a topcoat it would last a couple of days. Definitely check them out. 

The silver colored gloss is more sheer than I hoped. It does help to make your lips look more pouty. The texture of the gloss is smooth. It's not sticky at all and it doesn't even feel like you have any gloss on. 

I love this green nail polish!!! It looks amazing! 

 Sorry this was so quick! Thanks for checking it out! I hope I can help someone decide on these products. They are well worth it. They had other colors of the nail polish sets as well. Profusion is a great product. They have products that are true to color when applied on the skin and they tend to last a while.

*Throwback Thursday* Some of my Thrift Store Finds.

Going through some pictures on my computer I found my Thrift Store finds folder. I thought I would share some of the cool things I have found in my thrifting adventures. I'm trying to get some different types of posts out there so it's not ALL makeup. I do a lot more than shop for makeup but if you read my blog you would think I did. So since I haven't been thrifting in the past couple of months I went back and found some of my fave finds. :) Enjoy!

First up I'll do the toys. 

This is one of those Rock and Roll Elmos. It came with everything that it comes with new. I paid $9.99. At the time that was a very good deal. I think Walmart was selling them for $49

This is a homemade doll cradle. It's huge! My daughter gets in it and watches tv. It was very heavy and it sucked that I had to load it myself but I wanted it. I paid $10

This item was the most expensive. I spent more on this than I have ever spent on any toy from a thrift store. BUT its vintage. I had one as a child. So I had to get it. And it was a winner. She loved it. I paid $59

So disregard my evil looking child. 

This is Kota the Dinosaur. She can ride it, feed it, pet it and talk to it and it responds to everything. These things are EXPENSIVE if you can find them. I just so happen to luck out one day while running into my favorite thrift store. I paid...wait for it....$25. No seriously. $25...The best $25 I have ever spent. 

 

Found this dancing Brobee at one store. He was marked $2!! Nothing wrong with him. Still had the original batteries and the little clear pull tab thing. 

Last toy: This is a little people school house set. It is larger little people but she still loved it. Paid $1

I saw this and it brought back so many memories. I used to love this thing as a child. I guess because I could do it. Paid $1.25

 

The pic on the left is of a dress form. :P As if you didn't know that. I about screamed in the store. I had been looking for a vintage one for a long long time and there it was staring back at me. with a big pink sticker reading $34.99!!!! oh my gosh. I snatched that up and took it to the front before anyone else could put an eye to it. !!!! The pic on the left is a jewelry hanger I believe. I just wanted it for decor in my craft room (some pics of that coming later) It was $4.99

 And my most prized find. My Snoopy cookie jar. I am a HUGE Peanuts fan. I buy anything vintage Peanuts. It's just something that reminds me of my childhood. My favorite movie is Race for your life, Charlie Brown. This little guy was $5.

*Influenster* Meaningful Beauty Vox Box

YAY for getting accepted to another Vox Box from Influenster so quick. For those who do not know what Influenster is, it is a community website basically for reviewing products and sharing our thoughts on social networking. You can earn badges to help you get your overall score higher. The higher the score and more active you are the better the chances you are to get picked for a Vox Box. The word Vox means voice. Its not LITERALLY a voice box but they are boxes you get in the mail with a products or several products in them (FOR FREE) to test out and VOICE your opinion on them. Each box has a set of initial tasks then more are added later. You do get invites to help people get in the program. So here is the box I received this time. It was for 1 product from the Meaningful Beauty line from Cindy Crawford. It's an Anti aging skin care product line. I thought I would give it a try since they sent me the invite to it. My skin isn't showing a lot of aging but I thought maybe it might help it look a little healthier. It does!!! I It appears more smooth and soft. Has a healthy appearance right after using it and throughout the day even with makeup. It feels more hydrated and way less dry. I mean there really isn't much more I can say. It's a .5 fl oz bottle that will probably last me for a long long time. Here is a link to the company Website. I doubt I will buy the products because like I said I do not show much aging so it would be a waste right now but for someone who has the fine lines and wrinkles I would recommend atleast trying it.

Miss A Order # 2

Hey ya'll I'm taking a break out of my busy days to catch up on some shopping hauls so I can get ready for my Christmas posts. :) So there will probably be several back to back in the next few days. I am really trying to stick with this. I thankfully take pictures of everything before I put them up so makes it easier on me so I do not have to go hunt down the products to take pics of them for the blog. :) So enough of my rambling here is another Miss A haul. Miss A is a budget friendly accessories website with great quality items including jewelry, makeup, sunglasses, etc. Every thing on the site is $1.....ONE DOLLAR!!!! come on now...shipping is flat $3.95, its more if you want it quicker but I live near them so my shipping time isn't very long. It's a fun place to browse around on, but be aware if there is something you like you better get it then because they go out of stock pretty quick on some things and there is no guarantee they will get more. So unless you have the money I would not suggest going on the site until you do. At least that is what I do. Here is the website if you want to check it out Shop Miss A

 This is an example of order it when you see it so they do not sell out. I saw this necklace on a Miss A haul on youtube. I quickly went over and looked at them and fell in love. Well...by the time I had the money to order them all they had was purple. I really wanted the black. Oh well. I do still love this necklace. It is gold in color with the purple accent. Great quality in my opinion. As you can see the little studs on the packaging. They come with alot of the necklaces. I do not have pierced ears and these are pretty cheap. Alot of the times mine only have 1 on them, the backs fall off or they are just broke. But it is a nice addition if you are gifting them. 

This necklace is an example of how the jewelry can be hit or miss BUT it was $1, if you are completely disappointed in the product I am sure you could contact the company and work something out. Their customer service is excellent. Back to this necklace, I love the dangle though it is very very thin and bends easily so you have to be careful, I do NOT like ball chains. They break too easily but this was my fault for not looking at the chain in the picture. I plan on changing the chain and wearing it. 

 The next two necklaces are awesome. They are made of little seed bead ropes then twisted. They have a gold chain in the back and come with a set of matching earrings. They are really pretty and do not look cheap at all. They came in a lot of different colors, as most of the products they sell do. 

This necklace won my heart. I love cats...cats of ALL sizes. This necklace is very good quality. Not cheap feeling at all. The chain is thick and very long. The dangle is weighted nicely. I love wearing this with a black shirt. And it was ONE DOLLAR!!! 

These two were disappointing but I am working with it  The little fish necklace is sized for a child or a very very small woman. Though I love it, I have it put back for my Daughter. The quality of it is similar to children jewelry. The other pic is of a multi chain bracelet. It is kind of on the small side. My wrists aren't huge but they are not tiny either and some of the chains were broken. They do not say much about the products on the website so you just have to take a chance on it or see if someone else has bought it and done a review.

Shopping Haul Dollar Tree and Walmart

     Hey ya'll I'm back with another haul post. This one is from a shopping trip I did last week. I enjoy shopping at dollar trees. I can find a ton of stuff there for $1 when I can find the same stuff at other stores for $2 or more. Dollar tree is always my first stop. I bought a TON of stuff including food and Holiday decor. I will do other posts on the decor I found later. I need to catch up on my beauty shopping hauls first. So here we go. The pictures will look different. They are from my new phone not my camera. I'm testing it out.

First I found these Wet and Wild Beauty Benefits Nail Polish. These were the only 3 colors they had but they are so pretty. 

Next up are these two Milani polishes. I needed a White...BAD. and they had one so I was excited. Next to it was this really pretty purple. 

These were new in this DT location. I do not have any polish in these colors so I snagged them up. :) 

These were also new. They are Milani nail art bottles. :) I grabbed all three colors. They have the precision brush but the polish is really thin. 

I lucked out on all these new products. I was really excited when I walked in the beauty care section and I see all this new. These are little nail art 3 n 1 pens. I picked up all the colors I saw. 

Next up is the Wet and Wild Beauty Benefits Eyeshadows. I really like the Fantasy land one. I love blues. 

I was excited for this. But then quickly let down. It's an Aziza II Cream eyeshadow. Nope...dried out. Good thing it was only $1.

I found one of these I didn't have. Yay. La Colors Bold Eyes Marble Eye Shadow. 

I thought these were great finds. Wet and Wild Mega Lash Serum/Mascara, Wet and Wild Beauty Benefits Mascara and Wet and Wild Mega Volume Mascara. 

The package on this says Smoothers. On the product is says CG Smoothers. I guess that is maybe Cover Girl. In any case I love the purple color. 

I love these Milani lip colors. They smell and taste so good. These a still a little bright on my lips BUT I am slowly getting used to the colors. 

I thought this was kind of neat. It looks like a little cd case. Its a NYC lip gloss.

I love to grab random items just to see how they are. This LA Colors Mineral eyeshadow is the bomb dot com. Like I really need to put it on my eyes and show you. The color is Teal its sort of matte. Sort of. But very very pigmented. The other is a BonneBell eye crayon in Sage Shimmer. Not as bright as I normally like but I think I know how I want to use it. 

These were just grabs. The LA Colors one is I guess old. The products were very dried out. They were all a pretty orange color but very dried. The Blueberry Parfait lip gloss just smells plain terrible. Ewwww. Like I really wanted at least a Blueberry taste...but no. eww. 

These wipes on the left are like THE BEST wipes ever. They are textured wipes with a delicate cleanser on them. I have very irritable skin and these are perfect. They smell great, they feel great and they do not leave any residue. SO I highly recommend these. I plan on stocking up. I use them for everything. The pic on the right is of makeup applicator q tip things. I saw them on a haul on youtube and I went looking for them to try when I mess up maybe these will get in there and clean up my mess. :) 

Next up are items I went specifically to Walmart to get. I've been wanting some color tattoo items for a long time and every time I went they were always sold out of the teal. Boo. BUT this time they had ONE! I snatched it so quick!

I got to looking around seeing what all was new. I do not really shop at Walmart for makeup but I heard sometimes things are cheaper there. So I found this Hard Candy baked shimmery Eye Shadow in Supernova. A little more sheer than I was hoping for BUT paired with my purple LA Colors cream eyeshadow it works perfect. 

Very rarely do I buy clothes at Walmart. Fpr one I do not like the sizes of their clothing.  They fit different than the stores I usually shop at. BUT I saw these from the register...like I was in line and I saw these. :) They were normally $10 and they were marked down to $7. I got black, orange and red. 4 sizes bigger than I normally wear. BECAUSE I know if I were to get a L or XL it would fit too tight, well I mean they are probably meant to fit really tight but I do not think they would look as flowy if they were tight. :) 

And for the last items, I've been seeing a lot of these bodycology products. I got the gift set of the Naughty and Nice and the body spray in After Dark. The Naughty and Nice smells Wonderful....after is sits on the skin for a few minutes. Right after you spray it...it smells terrible. :)
